1500 SW 11th Avenue
The Benson Tower is currently under construction. Touted as one of Portland’s first “Point Towers,” it occupies less than a quarter city block, but its slender glass frame rises an impressive 250 feet in the city skyline. Due to the small lot size most floors hold only 5-7 units with very little area devoted to common space.
The building will offer 143 residential units ranging in size from 585 to 3010 square feet. All units feature hardwood floors throughout, air conditioning, washer and dryer and private balconies. The kitchen features slab counters, gas cooktops, stainless steel appliances and custom wood cabinets.
The ground floor is dedicated to resident use and will not host commercial space. Instead, residents will enjoy amenities such as a spa and fitness center, library, private Zen garden and terrace. A 130-foot water fountain will wrap around three sides of the building, providing a relaxing backdrop for common areas. The building will also feature underground parking, controlled garage access, and two high-speed elevators.
The Benson Tower is located in downtown’s cultural district, which offers access to Portland’s best performance, art and music venues. The tower is located on the Portland streetcar line with close proximity to the Park Blocks, shopping and dining.
Project completion is estimated by Summer 2007.
